Washington, 25 giugno 2009 - "Michael Jackson è morto". Lo riferisce il sito web Tmz.com. Il cantante era stato ricoverato d’urgenza in ospedale Ucla alle 12,21 ora locale (le 21,21 in Italia). Secondo le prime notizie, riportate dalla stampa Usa, il cantante, 50 anni, avrebbe subito un arresto cardiaco nella sua casa di Holmby Hills sulle colline di Los Angeles.
